Can I use mibostahl tools even though the manufacturer of the housing says I should use his tools?
Yes, mibostahl tools can be used with absolute safety. mibostahl has been a specialist manufacturer in this sector for over 35 years. Our know-how and our categorisation allow us to guarantee a fault-free and non-destructive extraction process.
What about enquiries requiring confidentiality?
Among our clients, mibostahl has made a name for itself as a trustworthy partner in the area of Research & Development. Please download our Confidentiality Agreement here.
Are the mibotools available in different handle colours?
Our mibotools are available in the handle colours ‘mibostahl red’, black, and transparent blue. Customised colour versions are possible. We can offer you the right toolbox for our tools.
How can I recognise a faulty electric plug connection?
Electric plug connections, which are used all over the world in the manufacture of cable assemblies or in cable harnesses for the automotive industry in large quantities every single day, ensure the fault-free flow of electricity to all vehicle components at all times. What if, let’s say, an airbag does not inflate in a crash just because one of the electric plug connections is faulty?
There are a number of different contact systems available on the market. mibostahl has the perfect extraction tool for any type of contact system.
What are terminal extraction tools?
If any faults are detected on electrical contacts during the production of a wiring system, after the final inspection, or during work carried out subsequently on the wiring system, then there must be an option to repair or at least verify that fault.
Whatever the case may be – the relevant contact must be removed from the housing. This will, however, only be possible if the right tool and correct method are used for the extraction of the terminals. The right tool in this case is known as an extraction tool. Only extraction tools will guarantee the fast and non-destructive extraction of the contact.
How does one work on an electric wiring system?
When working on wiring systems, it is of critical importance to use the proper know-how and right tools to guarantee correctly functioning, fault-free connections as quickly as possible. The use of state-of-the-art production methods, premium quality components and precise tools are key factors here.
Despite all precautions, each wire harness produced will always be tested for proper function on so-called test benches. Testing criteria include the use of an appropriate housing, electric conductivity, and the perfect position of all electric plug connections within the housing. Our efforts focus on the provision of the right extraction tool for any plug connector type and any application scenario.
What is the right way to extract a terminal?
However much development has taken place in terms of wiring systems over the past few years, there is one process that has remained unchanged and has rarely been mentioned to this day. Only the use of appropriate extraction tools will ensure the non-destructive removal and later reuse of plug connections.
Important here: Make sure to use the correct extraction tool! We offer a wide spectrum of different tools. There always is a proper solution.
What must I provide for categorisation?
Send us the housing with the contacts you are having problems with and for which you require extraction tools. We will then analyse these contacts and find a solution to suit your needs. You are of course also welcome to send us any defective tools that you may have.
Does categorisation entail any costs?
Categorisation is usually free of charge. However, expenses will be charged at cost depending on complexity. We will discuss costs with our clients ahead of time to avoid any subsequent disagreements.
What is a minimum order value?
Economical processes are a critical factor for any company. Small orders may, for example, incur the same amount of administrative or operating costs as large ones, but will offer less of a cost recovery in terms of the price. Manufacturers therefore frequently agree minimum order volumes with their clients to avoid such issues.
How high is the minimum order value?
Our minimum order value is EUR 200.00. Orders of a lower total order value will incur an additional flat fee of EUR 50.00.
