mibostahl was founded in Witten, Germany, in 1982 by Dipl.-Ing. Harmannus Bouwman. At that time, mibostahl was the first company to focus professionally on non-destructive terminal extraction and offered simple yet comprehensive solutions. Bouwman started the serial production of premium quality hand tools. The company’s main focus lay on premium quality products and application-oriented design right from the start.
The current CEO, Axel Giershausen, formerly of the multinational group BOSCH/Marconi, assumed the management of mibostahl in November 2010.
His fresh entrepreneurial outlook and a complete reorganisation of the sales structure brought renewed strength and energy to the business. Investment in development, research, and state-of-the-art machinery, coupled with a customer-oriented categorisation service and other innovative ideas are important indicators for a business that looks to the future with confidence.

We are green!
We produce handles made of cellulose acetate. This biologically degradable plastic is made of natural fibres and is 100% recyclable. We also attach great importance to environment-friendly packaging. Our corporate target for 2019 is to obtain ISO 14001 certification.
